The flesh of Squid is firm, white, tender and shiny. Squid range from surface depths to 500 metres in coastal shelf waters around New Zealand.

Squid is eaten in many cuisines. There are many ways to prepare and cook squid, with every country and region having its own recipes.

Preparation: All Squid should be cooked very fast (two minutes) or long (two hours) - anything in between may produce something very rubbery.  

Shelf life: Best consumed on arrival or within 3 days from receiving product.
