Latin Name Selaroides Leptolepis, Yellow Stripe Trevally is also known as Yellow Stripe Scad, Yellow-banded Trevally, Slender-scaled Trevally and Slender Trevally. Small inshore fish in the Jack and Horse Mackerel family Carangidae.
The Yellow Stripe Trevally reaches a maximum recorded length of 22cm but is normally encountered at sizes less than 15cm.
Preparation: Can be deep fried or steamed. Also popular as a dried or salted product.
Product must be fully cooked prior to consumption.
